Teamwork is a key aspect of our work at CFI Group. We must rely on each member of the team to do his/her part to complete projects and provide services. Because this is how we operate every day, this is also how we conduct interviews.
Typically, candidates are interviewed by several CFI-ers, usually one or two at a time. This gives our team members an opportunity to get to know the candidates with whom they may be working very closely. This also allows the candidates to meet the people who may become their future co-workers.
We try to be as flexible as possible in meeting our candidates’ schedule requirements, so some interviews may be conducted over the phone, in addition to in-person interviews. Our interviewers are trained on using behavioral interviewing techniques, which means they will be asking for specific examples that demonstrate a candidate’s skills and experience.
For some positions that work with a high volume of data, certain technical skills are assessed using computer-based and written tests. For other positions that may require a great deal of business writing and/or presenting, such as consulting, marketing and sales, we will ask for writing samples and/or ask the candidate to give a brief presentation. This helps us to assess the candidate’s abilities in these key skills.
Our Human Resources team will walk you through the interviewing process and let you know what assessments, if any, will be expected.
